All adults (18 years and older) who have contact with BASC players during practice, games or other team activities must register with BASC each season and complete all Risk Management requirements annually. This includes parents helping out at practice and/or games. A parent who is helping the team can register as a team manager.
Why
BASC Requires Registration, Background Checks & Risk Management Training.
The statistics are frightening.
Fact: One out of every four girls and one out of every six boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18.
Fact: Pedophiles are drawn to places where there are children.
All youth sports, including youth soccer, are such places. Given the importance of protecting youth soccer players, BASC has implemented a Risk Management Program which includes seasonal registration, annual background check & other mandatory Risk Management testing of all club volunteers before they can volunteer for the club.
It is the responsibility of each team’s Head Coach to ensure that no person participates with any team activity unless these requirements are fulfilled and added to your team roster. If you need to add an assistant coach or manager to your team, email: info@basoccer.club and let us know. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action against the team’s Head Coach.

REGISTER AND COMPLETE RISK MANAGMENT
All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers are required to complete the following four (4) tasks. These are mandatory in order to be a BA Soccer Coach or Manager. All are free to complete.

Did you know…
Each BASC member registered and acting as the head coach of a BASC recreational team shall be granted voucher(s) for one half (1/2) of the amount of the current normal registration fee for one recreational player following each season of service. The member may use the voucher(s) towards the registration of any player(s) of their choosing for the subsequent season. Make sure to register so you can get your discount next season!
