
WHAT VOLUNTEER ROLE WILL YOU TAKE FOR YOUR CHILD’S TEAM?
We want to ensure your child plays on a team this season! BASC is a volunteer based club that requires parents to coach teams, manage teams, and serve executive board positions. In the instance that a team does not have a parent step forward to coach, the team will not be able to form and all players on that team will receive a refund.
Coach
Every team must have a volunteer to be the primary coach. No experience necessary, we train our coaches at no cost to you. Coaches also pick their own practice days & times and are required to attend two coach meetings per year (one per season). Assistant Coach
Head coaches need help during practice and games. No experience necessary, we train our coaches at no cost to you. Coaches are required to attend two coaches meeting per year (one per season). To sign up as an assistant coach, go to Coach and Manager Registration and click How to Register.
Manager
Managers assist the coach with setting up snack schedules, team pictures, notification calls, registering for tournaments or emails to parents. To sign up as manager, go to Coach and Manager Registration and click How to Register.
ALL adults (18yrs and older) who have contact with BASC players during practice, games or other team activities must register with BASC every season and pass a background check and complete the online concussion training and SafeSport training annually. This includes parents helping out at practice and/or games.
