Picture & Player Passes Required For All U9 through U19 Teams
A player pass is basically a USYS legal form of ID to play in games showing the name, date of birth and a picture of the player. Player passes are the USYS and state approved way to show proof of age and the identity of the player on the official team roster. Player passes are created administratively through the club the player is registered through or their state association.
Every player in the U9 through U19 age group must have a picture uploaded into their GotSport Player Account at least 2 weeks prior to the first game of the season. This allows the club to print out a legal player pass and give to the coach of the team. If a player does not have a picture on the player pass, it is NOT a legal pass and the player will not be allowed to play.
BASC Coaches will print and keep the laminated player passes for their team players. Referees will ask to see these prior to kick-off of every league game and tournament staff will ask to check these prior to the tournament. It is the Coaches responsibility to supply player passes upon request of game officials.
To Upload a picture in GotSport:
- At least two weeks before the season starts, log into the master account your player has been registered through. https://system.gotsport.com/
- Choose “Family” on the left hand side.
- Click the players name to open their account.
- Click “Choose File” to upload a Driver License style picture. (A headshot of the player without sunglasses, a hat, or another person or pet in the picture)

COACH & MANAGER MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECK & RISK MANAGEMENT TESTING
Risk Management (includes: SafeSport, Concussion Training & Background Check)
The statistics are frightening. Fact: One out of every four girls and one out of every six boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. Fact: Pedophiles are drawn to places where there are children. All youth sports, including youth soccer, are such places. Given the importance of protecting youth soccer players, BASC has implemented a Risk Management program which includes the registration, annual back ground check & other mandatory Risk Management testing of club volunteers.
Thank you for your cooperation in providing a safe environment for our players!

Player Medical Releases
Why do I need these?
Each season you will receive a medical release for each player on your team.
Parents need to sign the bottom of their child’s medical release! (if the signature was not done electronically)
You will keep the signed releases. If for any reason an injury occurs and the parent is not in attendance to take care of the child, this release will help you contact the appropriate person. Or if you need to accompany the child to a doctor, ambulance, or hospital facility, you will have the appropriate paperwork giving consent for medical treatment of the injured player.

Team Uniforms
U6 TEAMS
BASC gives one orange shirt and one white shirt to new U6 players. Coaches pick up shirts and hand out to players. Time and location of shirt pickup will be communicated via email each season. You will also need shorts and socks for your players. Pick out what color shorts and socks you want and a store where they can be purchased if you want the style to match on all players.
U7 through U19 TEAMS
Coaches pick out uniforms for their teams. Please get these ordered as soon as you contact your players! You can order uniforms anywhere you want.
Suggested business: Soccer USA
BASC Uniform Policy (updated fall 2021)
A team member is not prohibited by USYS or BASC from having a name on the team member’s uniform being worn at a game if the name is appropriate for youth. If an issue is raised, the Games and Disciplinary Committee will determine the appropriateness of the name on the uniform. Any appeal beyond that will go to the BASC Executive Board. If the name is deemed inappropriate, the uniform must be replaced or the name removed and/or covered over by the team member prior to the next BASC activity that the member attends.
