*REFUND POLICY / INSURANCE COVERAGE OPTION
Please be aware that there is optional team registration insurance available for the Tornado Alley Spring Classic tournament, the cost is 10% of your team’s registration fee. If a team chooses not to purchase the insurance, BASC will not refund for a cancelled tournament or unplayed games. Teams should choose the optional team registration insurance. If the tournament is cancelled before the tournament starts, then teams will receive a full refund from the insurance company. If the tournament starts, but then is cancelled – teams will receive a partial refund based on how many games they have played.
Teams will be charged when you opt into this coverage option and input your credit card. If teams opt into it, a popup screen shows up with the price point and will have you enter your card information. The payment will get processed to Vertical Insurance.
Additionally, teams do not have to opt into it at the time of registration. Teams can skip it during registration, and purchase it later after the team is registered. Teams have 14 days from the tournament start date to purchase this optional insurance.
If for whatever reason, a team is not accepted into the event, but the team purchased the insurance, the team would need to reach out to Vertical Insurance to be offered a refund. What is Event Cancellation Team Coverage?
Event Cancellation Team Coverage protects teams from losing their registration fees if an event is cancelled due to unsafe playing conditions. If weather forces Organizers to call of the tournament, your team can recieve up to a 100% refund based on the number of games played versus games guaranteed.
