Bracket Clarification

An explanation for the advancement of teams in each bracket can be found below.

If teams are tied at the end of group play, the tie break system will be used to determine which team will advance to the next round. Tie break rules can be found in each set of tournament rules under ‘Tournament Rules and Policies” (on or around page 3). Rules can be found here.

3 TEAM BRACKET
  • Each team plays two group play games.
  • #1 team after group play advance to finals.
  • Teams #2 & #3 play semi-final match
  • Winner of semi-final match plays #1 team for Championship

 

4 Team Bracket
  • Each team plays three pool play games
  • Top two teams advance to Championship game.

 

5 TEAM BRACKET
  • Each team plays four pool play games
  • Champion and Finalist are determined by points.

 

6 TEAM BRACKET
  • Each team plays two pool play games in their group of three.
  • After pool play, the teams will be seeded within their group #1 – #3.
  • The #3 teams from each group will play in the Consolation Final. (#3A vs #3B)
  • Semi Final Matches: Group A #1 vs Group B #2 & Group B#1 vs Group A #2
  • Winners of each semi final will play in Championship game.

 

7 TEAM BRACKET
  • FIRST ROUND:
    • Each team plays two pool play games
    • After First Round, all teams are seeded #1 – #7
    • #1 Seed automatically advances to Semi Finals
  • QUARTER FINALS:
    • Pairings:
      • #2 vs #7
      • #3 vs #6
      • #4 vs #5
      • Pairings may be changed to create a unique playing opportunity for all teams. The Tournament Director will make any changes, if required, after the first round of group play has concluded. Any changes made by the Tournament Director are final. No appeals, protests, or feedback are allowed by teams.
  • SEMI FINALS:
    • Pairings:
      • #1 vs Winner of #4 v #5
      • Winner of #2 vs #& vs Winner of #3 vs #6
      • These games will not be reseeded.
  • FINAL
    • Winners of each semi-final match will play in the Championship game.
